ATLANTIC CANADA NTFT TOUR POWERED BY BRP WITH DEEDEE AUSTIN

Announcing the Fall 2024 Atlantic Canada NTFT Tour, Powered by BRP

Featuring Local East Coast, Indigenous, award-winning artist, 18-year-old DeeDee Austin!

We are going back on the road for our Fall 2024 NTFT Tour, Powered by BRP and this time we will be in Atlantic Canada! We are excited to introduce our presenter for this leg of the Tour: Nova Scotia based, Indigenous, award-winning singer-songwriter and member of the Abegweit First Nation on PEI, DeeDee Austin (she/her).

DeeDee will be sharing original songs and stories to schools and community groups spreading education and awareness about bullying prevention, and the importance of never giving up. Additional classroom activities, materials, and resources will be provided to teachers and parent council groups to continue the NTFT messaging.

“Standing before youth as an anti-bullying presenter, I share my songs, culture, and stories about going through some of the most difficult times in my life dealing with mental illness, bullying, racism, and discrimination. Music has the power to inspire empathy, strength, and unity,” says NTFT presenter and performing artist DeeDee Austin. “I’m honoured to present as part of the NTFT Tour, Powered by BRP to students in grades K-12 and if I can encourage them to be themselves, be kind, and dance to the beat of their own drum, my heart is fuller than full.”

The 5-week tour premieres in Nova Scotia on November 4 before visiting New Brunswick, PEI, and Newfoundland.

Our programming is especially accessible as there is no cost to the schools and parent school councils. We rely solely on funding from generous supporters.

If you are in a position to help us create a world where every individual feels valued and supported, free from bullying, please consider donating to NTFT, a registered Canadian Charity.

Thank you!
