FULL TIME EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR LAUREN TOEWS

📣 With it being Indigenous History Month and Pride Month, we are so incredibly proud to introduce you to our wonderful full time Executive Director, Lauren Toews (she/her)! 🧡🌈

Motivated by her heritage as the granddaughter of a residential school survivor, and her identity as a Two-Spirited/queer parent, she champions meaningful change, advocacy, and support. 🫶

Lauren brings a blend of personal resilience and professional expertise to the Executive Director role. Growing up in a small town she felt like no one would hear her, but she believed in standing up to bullying and accepting people no matter who they were or where they were from. This led to her winning a nationwide contest promoting respect and acceptance, igniting her lifelong dedication to empowerment. 🌟

💐 With a background in project and administrative management, and extensive volunteer experience with Rape Relief and Women’s Crisis Centres, Native Counselling Services, and other nonprofit organizations, Lauren is well-equipped to lead.

🎶 Believing in the power of storytelling and music, Lauren aims to create a world where every individual feels valued and supported, free from bullying.

Please join us in welcoming Lauren! 🥰 She completely embodies the values of NTFT and comes from a genuine, empathetic place of understanding. We know that we will continue to make a meaningful impact and expand our reach with her leadership! 🌎
